| Robin
Pyatt Bellamy joined the Toronto Ghosts and Hauntings Research Society
in December 2001. The group is a non-profit, volunteer organization
which researches unusual events thought to be of a paranormal nature using
scientific and logical methods. She was appointed Director in 2004
and has been instrumental in the development of staff training as well
as media relations.
In March 2005, an umbrella group
for research societies was formed to assist Canadian researchers nationwide.
PSICAN (Paranormal Studies and Investigations Canada) is currently seeking
charitable status from Revenue Canada so that the groups can solicit grant
funding and donations to perform experiments and do research which currently
is cost prohibitive. Robin served as the Chief Financial Officer
for PSICAN and is now a full time consultant for the group.
Robin Bellamy speaks yearly at the
Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, WV. She recently appeared on
SciFi Investigates and does regular interviews for radio and television.
Robin also teaches a ghost research course for the Toronto District School
Board in Toronto, Ontario.
